I'll make no claims about being able to offer help, but I'd be interested in finding out what's going on to block her access--if anyone has isolated the cause(s) yet, that is. It's not an issue I've faced with Vista, and I spend a fair amount of time online with my Vista machine, including VPNing into my workplace network. I actually would have said that network connectivity was an area where Vista does more or less ok (the Media Player issue notwithstanding).

Something I *have* encountered is increasing instability with IE7, but I find that's the case with both Vista and XP.
