Technology is cumulative, wisdom has to be learned by each person.
Bodes ill for mankind, which won't last much longer in it's present form. Global warming, nanotechnology, which will "get loose" a la "Ice Nine", any number of things. Genetically man is a predator, and will not cooperate for the common good. Look at the Conservative attitude toward the UN. It's a genetically driven desire to dominate, even at the cost of survival.
With no noticeable show of modesty, I'd say Mankind won't last another 1,000 years, to the delight of the surviving species. Too clever for it's own good.
