Well, Denmark is making tons of money selling wind turbines all over the world, an industry jumpstarted by their own domestic move towards wind power.
Also, there is some data to suggest that Oregon has done well attracting high tech industries as well as niche high-value services like advertising in part because it scores very well on "amenities" even though it's not the cheapest state around. Not the full driver to be sure but data does suggest that the kind of people who want to work for Intel or Nike like to live in a place where the forces of socialism have limited urban sprawl, preserved greenspace, kept rivers clean, kept away nuclear and coal power generation, etc.
Kansas City, where I lived for two years, has a better educated workforce, lower taxes, and much lower housing, and couldn't hope in a million years to convince Nike to relocate there.
Clearly not all industries work that way but on the margins there is demand for high-green even if high-cost.
