Denmark produces twice the carbon fuels it uses and exports the rest. It has a total population less than that of the city of Chicago. It's fairly easy to play with "green" technologies under those circumstances.

Nike is the only Fortune 500 corporation located in Oregon, on an area of unincorporated land (which kind of honks off the nearby city of Beaverton that would like some of that tax action). To the best of my knowledge, this is because they were founded there. I doubt they are located there just because Oregon is a "green" state.

Neither of these backs up Clinton's statement.
