I live in Aloha, OR, bordering Beaverton and Hillsboro. Nike is here. Intel is here. Maxim (the chip maker, not the girly mag) is here. TONS of large and medium sized corporations are based here. Money mag ranks it in the top 100 places to live (79th). I know it sounds hokey because I'm from CA originally and I used to think the same, but Beaverton is corporate America central, not hicksville.
