And my energy policy will be as follows.

I would build 250 new nuclear power plants (each with two Westinghouse AP1000 reactors) on the sites of closed military bases. This would bypass the costly and wasteful environmental impact studies and other red tape.

I would have major upgrades to all hydro-electric stations and have them updated with the latest in dynamo technologies. This would increase their power output by at least 10%.

The national power grid would be upgraded with new transmission lines that have less resistance and get more of the power to where it needs to go.

Invest in the infrastructure to extract oil from tarsand and oil shale. There's enough oil locked away in the Rocky Mountains to eliminate our need for any foreign oil, although I would still buy it from Canada and other stable regions.

All of this and more would be accomplished within 10 years of me ascending to the throne.
