After six or seven years, most series run out creative steam, and I have to admit I'd much rather watch a bang-up action-filled political espionage thriller than a bunch of hippy-dippy Kumbaya-singing liberals running an aid organization in some downtrodden third world country. If the show is taking a turn for the worst, it's probably just in its death throes and the lefty producers (and their executive masters at Fox) are simply trying to delay its demise as long as possible..
I just couldn't see the ideological motives behind the natural death of this show, which, after all, appears to have been conceived and put together by some lefty Hollywood types in the first place. At least, that's the impression I got from the Wall Street Journal article which seems a lot more balanced and objective than that website you directed me to. Who ARE those guys?
BTW, isn't the WSJ owned by the same outfit that owns Fox?
