It isn't about communism, it isn't about socialism, it isn't about totalitarian authoritarianism, and it isn't about radical Islam. Those are just individual battles, and they come and go.
The war is on a deeper level, and someday it will decide whether we live free, or as the property of a collective, or a ruler. Through almost all of history, humanity lived as the latter. People forget that modern Western civilization is a freak of history, its origins going back only a few centuries.
Sometimes the battles are big and obvious, like the Cold War or the battle against radical Islam. Sometimes the battles are less obvious, like the climate change issue or nationalizing health care. Sometimes the battles are small and seemingly trivial, like making light bulbs illegal, or big cars, or fireworks. But it all adds up, and whether the ratcheted wheel moves by large or small increments, it still moves.
I can't do much about this by myself. I'm not crazy. But I can at least show people that they haven't kidded everyone into thinking the chains we're being offered are for our own good.
Just because you don't feel like fighting doesn't make the war go away. Look around you where you live, at city councils, local organizations, and the rest. Look at the small stuff, and add it all up. Believe me, the other side fights every damn day.
