You can get two sources of information for me.
First, I will need a mercury barometer that is located at sea level, I do not trust these numbers that are printed in today’s books or the internet, they may not be accurate.
Has anyone actually seen a mercury barometer lately?
Second, get me a science book that covers the barometric pressure at sea level and is over hundred years old.
If you can get that information for me, then I will start my research and will give you the credit you deserve.
I have looked all over the internet for such information.
So far I have only obtained the standard information that simply implies that the pressure fluctuates around the 30 inches of mercury, but nowhere is there a mercury barometer available that could be looked at to verify the actual reading.
Also archives do not seem to be available that would indicate the actual measurements taken from a mercury barometer at any time in the past.
