Heh.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing in this issue, and a lot of people are blowing smoke in the bargain.

I am inherently suspicious of any science work, on either side of this issue, that requires several pages of heavy statistical math to get to where the authors are trying to go. The beauty of major ideas in science is that, with very few exceptions, they can be described and explained in terms understandable to a reasonably intelligent layman.

RealClimate is a good site, in that it attracts a lot of smart people on both sides. Still, it does have an inherent bias, and even reasonable skeptical commenters find themselves swimming against a distinct current. It's useful to realize that both sides have an axe to grind, and it's not just objective, incorruptible scientists versus corrupt, oil-company-paid hacks.
