re: interpretation and translation

It's funny my set of Encyclopedia of Infinite Knowledge dated 2235 (and accessed solely by memory;-) misses all those events. You must have been diverted from another one of those degenerate timestreams wherein all you describe occurs.

My particular text shows John McCain as the 44th President of the United States and his VP as Condoleezza Rice. It mentions McCain's cunning move to offset the black/woman ticket with a black woman as his VP. It has a nice illustration of McCain and Condoleezza waving to jubilant and energized conservative crowds. That this led to the first black woman President in 2016 was of course the true irony. Obama is a footnote to the election of both the first woman President and the first black President, because his candidacy with Hillary Clinton, although ending in failure, provided McCain with the impetus to choose a woman of African-American ancestry to balance his ticket.

October 1, 2008 has no particular significance about it either in my edition. My set only describes the public debut of what would become a popular new electric vehicle, Pulse, for that date as well as the typical news and statistics.

Unfortunately, you can never return to your own future. Such are the perils of time traveling. You might as well stick it out on this Earth and see how a constructively guided planet history works out.

;-)
