bad interpretation... very nearly opposite of what I said

you know it cant work that way. it would be a violating causality if it had.

The past at a given moment in time cannot be changed, and the future can never be predicted. All that one can do is observe some of the futures that WILL take place.

If I find, in some future, that the winning numbers for a lottery are 76-19-7-52-39-4 and take that information back to a time in the past before the lottery drawing, I have no reason to expect that set of numbers to have anything to do with the winning numbers __I__ will experience, any resemblance would be coincidental.

Purely random single events cannot be predicted. As in Thermodynamics, however, systems consisting of random elements can exhibit predictable behavior.

For example, given what future currents I have observed, I can say that there is a high probability that you are considering, or would soon consider, making a post on CE saying something to the effect that America would be in a better situation if not for the fact that true conservatives such as Gingrich had left power prior to the Bush presidency.

Tell me if I am right or wrong- in a couple of hours.
