Pass the ammo.

It's sad to watch a mind descend into the abyss of "fascist" socialist rhetoric. A person who supposedly decries stereotypes and then sweeps across his rhetorical canvas with a brush a mile wide. The stench of depression, extremism and yes, fascism, fill your post.

Real businessmen don't go to chat groups and talk up their ideology. Like all true predators, they crouch quietly in the tall grass of indifference and anonymity until they are ready to strike. And these predators are now funding Democratic campaigns and candidates, because they are going to win the next election. Real businessmen don't gve a damn about ideology. All they care about is power and money, and the only emotions they are capable of are greed and fear.

Really? Who exactly counts as "real businessmen" in your world? Is there an income threshold? Position threshold? Do you simply have to have your name attached to fortune 400 company board to become real?

The mirror principle applies to this thread in full force. Arrell & Yeti are sputtering after Tom as befitting their lifelong membership in the Church of Climatology, while claiming to be doing so in the interests of balance. You moan about fascists, but your doctrine revealed in this post illustrates you think like a fascist, complete with classifications of who qualifies as a businessman and motives of these "true enemy" neighbors "crouching in the tall grass" whose only emotional range consists of greed and fear.

Forget about talking to these reactionaries. This is an election year, if you feel the need to talk, speak the truth to those who are undecided, or to the good folk who have been misled by the fascists' lies and are now seeing for themselves the desolation they have left behind in the short period where they have wielded near-absolute political and economic power. Engage yourself in the political dialogue and bring the truth to the people, believe me, they are ready for it, they have suffered enough and they know now who really has a hand in their pocket. Do not waste your energy and your talents engaged in pointless debate here with them, it is only a distraction to draw you away from the real struggle, the one going on in the workplace, the press, the marketplace, the unions, the schools and the living rooms of America. Go out where the real struggle is and fight there, on a battleground of your own choosing, not here where you waste your energy on those who have no intention of listening anyway.

If you want to find the reactionary, just look in the mirror. I might add revolutionary to the mix. You sound like Fidel Castro circa 1957 or Lenin
circa 1912. That's not intended as a compliment by the way.

As long as you hold such shallow views of folks then the depth of the world, and the people in it will maintain an almost comic book quality.

Your hate will be managed by your fellow revolutionaries. They will give you the authorized talking points and list of enemies to harangue. They will give you the propaganda to repeat in the "living rooms" of the "innocent" Americans who were "misled by the fascists lies" and who the reactionaries assume must have an IQ lower than Jimmy Carter's national speed limit.

Yes, the condescension and reactionaryism of your post is apparent. Pass out the rifles to your fellow revolutionaries and start picking off "the people's enemies" and "real businessmen" now, because you will have a huge number to eliminate. As you travel down this path, you will find more enemies and "real businessmen" will keep popping up. All those "misled" folks that take run for cover from your rhetoric or who begin actively denouncing it will be added to your list of "people's enemies" and will have to be dealt with as well.

The "real struggle" isn't going on out in the world...it's the one in your mind you have to address first. Once you do that, the struggles in the world will no longer haunt you.
