If there is anything that has made me a bit bitter regarding this board (and I think I am less angry and bitter than you seem to think) it is exactly the lack of any willingness to compromise by the more vocal liberals of this community. I actually think of it as more pointlessness than outrage.
In Toms recent post on the comedy skits, I stumbled on to the Monty Python bit on argument where the characters argued on whether what was occurring was an argument or contradiction. What we have here is contradiction not argument.
If I am angry or bitter it is related to the overall hopelessness of the situation vs the philosophy used to address it. I could care less at this point in my life whether or not our government is liberal to the extreme as long as I am allowed to retain my way of life and have a measure of hope for my family's future.
Unfortunately, I get no warm and fuzzy feeling listening to either side but I make no apology for believing that what we have and have had is the better way.
