Not at all.
Nick, the thing is that we don't know if there IS an inside and an outside. All we know is that all the matter in our universe started with the bang and it has evolved into what we are and can see (thanks Hubble) today. Yes, matter in our universe has expanded, died, given birth to and coalesced over time. What I'm referring to is the blackness of space that matter is expanding into. That is what seems infinite.
