what "blackness of space"?
What space, for that?
There is Not even nothing beyond the "edge" of the Universe.
There is no edge!
All the "blackness of space" is INSIDE our Universe, and is expanding along with it. There is no real distinction between matter and space - they are BOTH the building blocks of our Universe.
All of space and time is contained in some sort of "bubble". We call this bubble - The Universe. We are unable to measure, detect, model, or conceive of what is "outside". it isn't in any direction or dimension we can measure. So, there is no bubble, there is no "outside". There is only inside!
If you find a better way to understand this than the past 100 years of cosmologists, mathematicians, and theoretical physicists, then I'd love to hear how it works...
