Why the nerve of Those People, willfully denying themselves access to indoor plumbing and the abundance of factory-farmed food available to everyone at your neighborhood Safeway!

Seriously, you two, are you listening to yourselves? You sound like you think homelessness is caused by copraphilia, that people are homeless because of an uncontrollable impulse to defecate and urinate in front of other people. I guess it makes a certain manic sense, since you'd have a hard time holding a job if you can't hold your bowels and bladder in the office. But really, that's how you think cause and effect works?

Is it just perhaps remotely possible that those people you portray as inherently like barnyard animals would rather live differently if they had a choice? That maybe the definition of your elected officials doing a better job isn't to ratchet up the use of force against the homeless to move them along to become somebody else's problem, but just maybe to fix the reasons they're homeless in the first place?

If you tell somebody "just get a job, ya bum", you're being a real asshole if there are no jobs available. Address the problem, not its victims.
