A couple of months ago I was coming home from a visit to a Drs office and transferred in downtown. There is a paved square there. I laid down on the top of a broad wall, exhausted. A cop came along and told me I couldn't lay down. I explained that I was 75 y/o, tired, and wanted to rest.
The cop explained again that I couldn't lay down.
I asked what would happen if I did. He'd have to write me a ticket. And if I didn't pay it? You'd wind up in front of a judge. Do you think that's right?
By then I was standing up, in front of him. And this had gone as far as he wanted. He had done what he needed to, I wasn't laying down, and he just walked off. As he did a city employee came along and told me I could lay down if there was a health reason.
