Look now at the list of responses so far. Do any of them from the usual suspects suprise you? Even my baseline pithy-flakey-succinct post should feel familiar on some level.
I don't remember exactly when you showed up, but I was new here about Oct-Nov 2001. The usual cast of poster-users hasn't changed all that much with a few noteworthy exceptions. As such, being that this isn't really a working group, but a collection of regulars that enjoy bickering too much, what is the continuing appeal? Nothing against the management at all, it's just the poster-user demographic apparently crystalized at a certain point.
Well, I'm not suprised by any of the responses and it's been a while since I was even curious about them. It was just turf guarding for far too long for me.
Understand what you want from this place, what you want to contribute to the zone, and visit accordingly.
