I confess I read your post yesterda, and with a busy day I didn't have time until this morning to think about it. It wasn't until I had time to ponder that I perceived the conflict expressed in your message, and that you're feeling kind of unhappy about it (that wasn't a happy post).

Art, your post seems based on the premise that you must choose between the HabitableZone and DailyKos, and, at least as far as I'm concerned, that's just not the case.

It's been at least a couple of years since I've called up the bartender analogy, but it really is like that: This is where everybody knows your name. The Zone's more like your neighborhood bar, not a soapbox upon which you can move the world.

FWIW, Art, I make a point of reading just about everything you post. I apologize for not posting more reponses (to everybody, actually, lately), and that you've gotten the impression that you only interact with Tom and Lee and Techie.

I'd be happy to see you post politics at DK, and drop by here from time to time. Post links to your work over there. Post personal news on Community. The political discussions here have gone pretty stale, and it may be that you can inject a little life in the place with new ideas from over there.

The Zone may not be the fulcrum from which you can move the world, but it can serve as a pretty good place to recharge your batteries between battles.
