It certainly possible this tale originated in the Stone Age Black Sea event, but my money is on the Tigris/Euphrates floods as the origin of the Noah story. Livestock, frequent floods, cities being washed away; all the elements were in place for thousands of years in Mesopotamia before writing was introduced and the old yarns were written down.
