As my unanswered post below maintains - there is nothing new or revelatory in this book. It's hyped as "scathing" without giving substance to anything.
McClellan will receive all sorts of offers from the left media industry who believe he was privy to some serious insider information and will use him as a tool for all the BDS leftists who will now eagerly watch the man for validation of their world view.
McClellan will surely earn a heck of a lot more than he did as a press secretary and will have a career.
My view still stands. The book is made of gossamer fibers and under the slightest inspection dissolves into the nothingness of which it was made. I eagerly wait some tidbit that proves me wrong.
But it's great to watch the BDS crew here seek validation and cling to this. If the man was supposedly beyond despicable as a lying mouthpiece for Bush, why suddenly believe him when he tells you things you want to hear? Did you all listen to Jimmy Swaggert after he confessed his "sins" and suddenly think he was a more wholesome guy?
Believe it or not I wouldn't consider Ted Kennedy a wonderful guy or trustworthy source even if his illness prompted self analysis and a whole book revealing the hidden dirt of years of backroom dealing, bribes and the corrupt lives Kennedys have lived on bootleg dollars.
Or simply put a snake is always a snake and you can never trust him unless you like getting bitten.
McClellan now has a new group of "friends" who will try to exploit him as he is now exploiting them.
Proof that politics is all about money and power and the personalities involved can usually be placed on either side of the aisle without a single greased hair getting dislodged and put out of place.
