It's been popping up all over the Right, lately. One man's brave defector is another's dirty rat-fink.
There's no telling what made this man say this, and why he waited until now to say it. And there's no telling whether it is true or not. It's the reactions of his partisans and critics, and how it falls right down party lines which is fun to watch.
I have not read the book, and have only heard about it second hand, but the reason I resonate with this story so much, and why it rings so true to me is because it confirms so well what I have come to believe on my own through my own analyses. I'm sure some people will be convinced this is so only because I labor under the same misconceptions and prejudices. That's exactly what I'd expect them tio say, too.
So what can I say? I have confidence in my ability to reason without being influenced by partisan propaganda. So, to hell with 'em!
