There are times when I wished I worked in some kind of trade. I would enjoy being a carpenter or a car mechanic. Those jobs seem rewarding, like you are actually accomplishing stuff. Plus I like to build things. Maybe that is why I like being a programmer.

If you enjoy your work, who cares what others think. Your happiness and peace of mind is whatâ€™s important.

I was talking with a friend the other day about what kind of work we would have wanted to do 200 years ago. I said I would have liked to been a carpenter, a blacksmith or a miller.
