I agree with everything you said.
He did have patents and was a frequent visitor to NASA and the Pentagon.
If someone inside the military could understand the applications, then maybe they are trying to develop something similiar as we speak.
I also think that most radical discoveries are investigated first by the military, and used there for military applications before they are released to the public THIRTY years later.
