Reagan's post-Challenger decisions were flawed.

IMO, the proper course at that time would have been to drop the SRBs and go with the pressure fed liquid boosters, instead of getting erverybody building inadequte designs from the 1960's.
Ariane never would have had a chance.

But that proposal was Dead on Arrival, and my guess looking back over the years is that in large part that was due to Thiokol money.
