Obama performed far better than McCain, and won the debate

The three post-debate polls that have come out appear to substantiate that, at least in the eyes of the American public, Obama won the debate:

CBS News: Obama won 39%, McCain won 25%, Draw 36%

Insider Advantage: Obama won 42%, McCain won 41%, Undecided: 17%

CNN: Obama "did better" 51%, McCain "did better" 38%

What's interesting is that most of the talking heads in the media seem to have judged it a draw, while as-yet undecided public viewers clearly went for Obama.

McCain had many problems last night. He kept pulling examples from the past, not refering to the future. His body language and demeanor came across as a mean, crabby old man, maintaining an arrogant, condescending attitude, refusing to look Obama in the eye (too afraid?) and repeatedly and pointlessly kept babbling "You don't understand" without ever explainly precisely why he believes Obama didn't understand. McCain spoke in confused generalities while Obama was smart, confident, clear, direct, specific, and frequently listed his points for more clarity. McCain engaged in ridiculous exageration and hyperbole in foreign affairs, especially Iran, was completey out of touch with reality on Iraq and Afghanistan, and Obama did an outstanding job of explaining why it was such a big mistake to devote huge resources to a stupid, unjustified war in Iraq while at the same time the urgent business of rolling up Al Queda and bin Laden was, and is, far from acheived, and in fact now getting worse oer there.

McCain is a war hero but he's also a moron and a dangerous warmonger who doesn't know who the Spanish head of state is, and doesn't know the names of the leaders of Iran and Pakistan.
