McCain definitly scored points on international affairs but Obama didn't exactly crash in flames.
I thought it was a nice debate and I was struck by the sameness of the candidates. Whoever wins will be up to their ass in domestic alligators and will not make any rash international decisions. Obama will not withdraw, date certain, from Iraq. If he continues to say that, it will be his first broken campaign promise. Domestically, neither will be able to deliver on health care. McCain's health care ideas don't seem very defined or well thought out with the taxing of health benefits and Obama's ideas seem unclear beyond the old idea of universal health care with no idea how to acheive it.
I have to disagree on the lame duck, both are better individuals than Bush.
