Palin gave winks and smiles, dodged questions, uttered meaningless generalities
and she said absolutely nothing to distance McCain from the failed Presidency of George Bush.
To give her some credit, she tried very, very hard to sound charming and folksy and used the vernacular of the average "joe sixpack", but in a forced, and seemingly programmed way. It didn't sound natural.
Joe Biden was smart to direct his fire on McCain, not on Palin. He was smart, direct and knowledgable.
It looks like the first poll of undecided (CBS?) scored it a 2-1 victory for Biden.
