Current Events » in reply to Biden starts laying the groundwork

It is going to be difficult and expensive to clean up after Bush & Co.

There will be unpopular measures taken. There's an enormous debt, a war fought on borrowed money, a tax cut for the wealthy which led to greedy investments in deriatives and a financial meltdown instead of jobs.

America is no longer the land of opportunity as globalization, all the NAFTAs around the world, average out wages. Lets globalize 30 million Americans once earning $25 an hour with 300 milion Chinese making $1.50 an hour, and then throw in another 100 million Indians making $2.50 an hour.

Wipes out the American middle class and with it the American Dream.

The next president will be busy shovelling the shit of the last. He didn't finish the Iraq War, the Afghanistan War, destroyed the economy, trashed the reputation of the US around the world, created Abu Ghraib complete with pictures, and Guantanamo without pictures leaving imaginations to run wild. New Orleans is still largely devastated, still. Corruption in Iraq, Afthanistan and domestically is a big part of his legacy.

The next President will have to ask the American people to make the sacrifices the last president didn't have the guts to. He and his congress borrowed and spent beyond any Democrat's wildest dreams. Bigger government, bigger deficits, he saddled the US with an intolerable burden.

And left, without finishing anything.

Let's see what his pardon list looks like. I wonder if he pardon's himself. And, I wonder if he travels abroad he might be detained and tried for war crimes.

After all, since the pictures of Abu Ghraib no average American has been safer anywhere in the world.
