Partly in reaction to his gross incompetence and general lack of intellectual curiousity, it's looking increasingly certain that in 13 days the American people will choose a President who's both charismatic and cerebral. In all honesty, I cringed a bit when Obama used the word "profligate" in the last debate. If McCain had been smart enough to catch it, he would have responded by smirking and saying, "That means we've been spending way too much money, folks!" But McCain was probably just wondering what the heck he was talking about...
