How Obama got Elected

He won the electoral vote by a landslide. And he won the popular vote by a modest, but unquestionable majority. No hanging chads, Florida politicians, Supreme Court or constitutional technicality. And even if the mainstream press is biased, so what? When hasn't the press been biased; even in colonial times. There is no constitutional requirement that the press be unbiased and no legitimate means to determine whether it isn't, much less guarantee it is; even if that questionable assumption is conceded. The founders were hip to this when they crafted the First Amendment and the wording is pretty clear. We certainly have a free, thriving and thoroughly biased alternative press, let it compete in the marketplace of ideas. Let the people read whatever paper that suits them.

No one is arguing your right to point out information like this, but neither should you be too surprised if no one else takes it very seriously.
If you really believe the preponderance of press organizations and professional journalists disagree with your program and actively work against it, then perhaps you should be asking yourself why. Why is it that a majority of the businesses that provide us with information and the scribblers that work for them are supposedly biased? You've already conceded it's not a conspiracy, so there must be some unconscious and undirected mechanism that is doing so. In a democracy, the press reflects the society as much as it molds it.

But don't be too surprised if no one else takes your answer to that question very seriously either. Your opponents suspect you may be biased.
