The grand jury traced a line between Cheney's... substantial holdings in the Vanguard Group, which invests in private prison companies. They accused Cheney of a conflict of interest because the more the prison companies were paid to hold inmates, the better he did financially.

"It is appalling to find that .... U.S. Vice President Richard B. Cheney, ...is profiting from depriving human beings of their liberty," the indictment said. The indictment also accuses Gonzales of stopping an investigation into abuses at the federal detention center.

There's absolutely no profit motive or racketeering involved on Cheney's part. Why, even the Haliburton no-bid contract and loss of BILLIONS of American taxpayer's money for an illegal war.....is morally and ethically allright in your book.
