Can't stand Doctor Who either. Not funny enough to be funny. Too funny to be taken seriously. It's a sticky horrid middle ground that I can't stand.

I'm a fraction too young to have gone thru ST and SW 'live' as it were (I turn 30 in 3 weeks) - that may be a key point.
