My answer got too long. Suffice it to say that I saw a religious authority raining shame down on a group of kids in an attempt to control their behavior.
Shame being the preferred method of control of Western religions. Not the content life of service and satisfaction available through religions, but shame. And it will run off onto their parents, too.
Those kids probably aren't that active now, but they will be. And they will still be hearing that threat of stain upon their souls, of a pissed off God.
"Do you think that's what God wants you to do with your body?" What??!! Rabbi Gellman seems to think that God wants some bodies to rain artillery shells down at random on Palestinian villages? Which is more obscene? Who is he to say what was intended when God made our bodies?
I think he could have conveyed the same message, one about sexual promiscuity, in a manner which wouldn't drive the doubter into disbelief or the believer into doubt in an effort to protect themselves from condemnation.

Fair question.
