I know all about Guilt by Religion

I was raised Roman Catholic, the experts in the field.

From what the rabbi said, it didn't seem quite as extreme as some
religious leaders have said on this subject. And of course he is going
to be morally concerned about young kids behaving that way. If he
wasn't, I would seriously question him as a religious leader.

Maybe it is a combination of being older and a parent of two kids who
are growing up, but I do want to see someone put some kind of
control on today's youth. They sure as heck aren't getting it from
the Internet or television. Even the "harmless" kid entertainment series
push as their main theme that you have to get a boyfriend or girlfriend
or risk being unpopular and alone, or worse, like being stuck with the
geeks.

If there are secular groups that are trying to guide kids properly when
it comes to issues like sex, then great, but for those who are part of
a religion (and most people are, to deny that is to deny reality), I
prefer seeing the church or temple leaders providing some kind of
moral guidance.

These are not adults being repressed here, these are kids who need
guidance and control. The rest of the world is out to make them feel
like they have to fit in, being in a relationship, buy the right clothes
and iPods, or they are doomed. Corporations don't care so long as
they get rich and governments are hardly the peak of morality.
