Cuban trade
The idea that Cuba's situation is the result of an American embargo is baloney.
Cuba trades with Canada, Russia, Spain, France, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, and Venezuela. About five percent of Cuba's imports come from the U.S. under special exemptions in areas like food and medical supplies.
Cuba is broke because communism destroys economic activity and prosperity, and has done so wherever it has been consistently applied.
