That fails as badly as "Saddam was worse". (Which isn't true any more.)

What sort of a presidency is it that the staunchest supporter can only say that some of the other chapters in American politics weren't great either? I remember the old "Saddam was worse" nonsense. He wasn't. And the US has installed another Saddam in his place.

Bush's presidency wasn't much different than the worst parts of some other presidencies except in scale. The entire government was for sale, from the military with mercenaries and Halliburton doing jobs which should be done by American military personnel to public lands and enforcement of public laws.

Bush was an order of magnitude worse than the worst of anyone else.

By the way, did you notice the president who imprisoned the Japanese-Americans won two large wars in less time than Bush has screwed around in Irag and Afghanistan?

Did you notice that Johnson refused to run for president because of Vietnam, that the Democrats were commited to ending that war, that Nixon was the guy who kept it going?

And that Cheney didn't learn from Vietnam and repeated every single mistake again in Iraq?

Did you notice that?
