I'm an aggressive driver

My goal is to get from point A to point B in the shortest amount of time with as few stops as possible.

I speed. I move from lane to lane to get around the people that don't understand that the word "rush" is there for a reason during rush hour. I get upset with other drivers but very few of them know about it unless they do things that I consider murderous and truly harmful to other drivers.

However, what I believe separates me from other "aggressive" drivers is that, while I'm doing those things, I am looking out for the well-being of all others on the road. I use my turn signals. I don't tailgate. I make myself highly visible to other drivers. If I'm at the head of the pack waiting for a red light or left turn signal I get out quickly so that other drivers behind me in line can get through. I don't gawk at accident scenes. I respect emergency vehicles and school buses. I stop for pedestrians in legal crosswalks. I obey the speed limits in areas where they make perfect sense such as residential neighborhoods and school zones. If I see a lane restriction ahead or a city bus that will be blocking a lane, I get over early instead of jumping ahead of others. I move to the far side of a lane when coming to a stop sign or signal if it means allowing someone access to a turn lane. I stay out of people's blind spots.

I'm amazed I don't get a lot of speeding tickets but I guess I have a good sense of what's tolerable for officers in current conditions and a keen sense of where they hide. Knock on wood.
