Obviously we have our best military and diplomatic minds on this... now.

A long term solution to Afghanistan is only possible with a long term solution to Pakistan, more specifically, Waziristan. I know the Taliban is spreading out from there but this huge ungoverned (ungovernable) region has to be dealt with. Military action other than drone strikes is not realistic. How do we bring these folks into the 21st century? How do we convince them to turn over the terrorists and live in peace with the rest of the world?
