Wonder how many over paid CEOs will buy one.
As with color TV, flatscreens, digital watches, laptop computers, calculators, cell phones, and many, many other things, if you can afford an electric car someday it will be because a bunch of wealthy people bought them when they were still too expensive for everyone else.
Musk is not the only one on the list of far-looking wealthy people. Jeff Bezos of Amazon is working on space vehicles, and Paul Allen, formerly of Microsoft, was instrumental in getting SpaceShipOne off the ground (among many other things).
These are the real investors in our future.
