The Fat Carcass of GM
In the case of GM they avoided cutting the fat largely by abandoning the tough competition despite an obvious long term risk of high oil prices. The fat cat excecutives made huge bundles of money putting the company on an unsustainable path. Now they want help because they couldn't see with their billion dollar brilliance what was obvious to most people with an IQ over 100. I'd be for GM bankruptcy 100% if it weren't for the potential impact on a realing economy and the somewhat unfair impact of legacy costs. The piece of crap van they sold me in 91 is the last big three vehicle I baught and earns them little sympathy.
