And besides, here there is a built in antipathy, so that even if they did agree, they would disagree just to spite us - and all the "evil" we represent to them in their particular worldview.
Every action has a consequence. Each event leads to the next. A degenerative pattern regenerates and the world is constantly competing between the forces of retrogression and progress.
Once they understand that, they will find it impossible to ignore it.
