There is nothing more guaranteed to bring out the BS than criticism of the US gun industry.
There is a reason for such actions as not supporting restrictions on selling arms.
Just as Bush and Cheney campaigned for the right to torture.
Just as Bush and Cheney campaigned for the right to "disappear" people.
It's so it can be done. Obviously.
The US gun trade is not exclusively in American-made weapons, by the way. US merchants sell anything for which there is a market and for which there is money. And the US government promotes those activities.
By the way: "But Mom, everyone is doing it!", the excuse for all US atrocities is at best adolescent, the sign of an unprincipled, amoral person, party or country. It gets tiresome seeing grown people using excuses I wouldn't let my children even try.
