What would you define as "additional pressure?" Cutting off TV privileges? That's torture too, by the new, all-encompassing definitions that fold "mental discomfort" into them.
If you've got a credible source on this Cheney using torture to force links to al Qaeda, please put them up. Try to avoid the usual "tinfoilhat.com" sources I'm inundated with around here.
