Okay try this. There is an unexplained process done on some plants. From there you make the fantastic conclusion that it came from an alien spacecraft from another world. I make the conclusion it is a process developed and done by someone on the earth. I have now proposed a counter theory to your "scientific" conclusions.
Because the likelihood my theory is correct far outweighs yours, the burden of proof that this was caused by aliens rests entirely on you. That's not to say it wouldn't be bad to find out who was responsible, but it is obviously not as pressing a scientific matter as what your claim would be.
