I have been really busy the past two weeks and away from the computer, so I couldn't do the proper follow up I wanted to. Vallee is a well known researcher. I guess his interpretation was the best he had from the analysis at the time, but it may not be the ONLY one. I guess they were trying to prove the farmer didn't do this himself.
