The "deal" Obama's been offering is the same crap over and over again, with a different coat of paint. More spending, massive new taxes, don't touch entitlements. In other words, government bloat as usual. One of them tallied out at - get this - $2 billion in spending cuts. The Republicans have offered the only clear ideas, like them or not, in this entire discussion.
Remember the Obama budget? How about the non-existent Senate budget?
The House in the coming days is going to vote something up that would work and shove it in Harry Reid's face. We'll see how Reid manages to sabotage it.
