And I understand that. But I also beleive that there are more than 4 letters in the word compromise, and that one side is not Correct while the other is Incorrect.
You've repeatedly said you think "compromise" is the act of agreeing that 2 + 2 = 5, which I don't buy. We've seen, very clearly, that politicians of the past were able to deal with each other successfully, to give and take in a civil manner, to the benefit of the nation. It's that civility, and the willingness to make workable and meaningful compromise, that has died in this country. American politics has become sport because that's what sells. No one wants to watch a bunch of people getting along; we want drama, winners and losers, even if we're the loser.
And as for picking sides, I meant here in the 'Zone. Have you tried being a moderate here? RobVG did.
