And what? Your ideas about class warfare, liberalism, and conservatism, represent reality instead?
I'm well aware that a lot of Americans are ignorant of the concepts of individualism, statism, or anything else that tries to deal rationally with how societies work. God knows our educations system avoids the real lessons of history and these ideas like the plague. There's probably not one high school student in a hundred who knows who the hell John Locke is. Their politics will be formed by what they see on television.
So we end up electing leaders because they have good speaking styles, nice hair, or they're going to "teach those bastards a lesson," or they're someone you'd like to have a beer with. Almost every damn tyrant in history rose to power on the backs of cheering idiots who liked how the tyrant made them "feel."
